I have four children, ages 13, 15, 18 and 21. I became clean in 1993, the year I left my husband because he was still using. I relapsed last year after the death of both of my parents. While I was working as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant I could not afford health insurance. I am currently in an in-patient recovery program in Philadelphia that accepts people without health insurance. Out-patient care and meetings isn’t always enough for recovering addicts.
