URGENT CALL TO ACTION FOR THE RIGHT TO HEALTH CARE IN THE US!

PPEHRC just returned from Tennessee where we met with Tenncare enrollees who are part of a growing organization called Tennesseans Fighting For Our Lives.

Enrollees with healthcare problems have been engaged in a sit in outside the Governor's office now for several months. Their demand is simple--restore the Tenncare cuts, people are dying and will continue to die.

These are our brothers and sisters who are engaged in a fight for their lives and for healthcare to be a human right. We call on you today to join us in an emergency human rights delegation to bear witness to the devastation occuring in Tennessee.

Join the PPEHRC in supporting our brothers and sisters in Tennessee! To share your personal story with us on how these medical cuts have impacted your life, email info@economichumanrights.org

Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that "Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including ...medical care and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control."

Read background on how this right is being systematically dismantled across the country.
